Service Description

Postpartum Recovery: The immediate postpartum period is a period of adjustment filled with challenges and learning, where our usual routine is completely disrupted. It's completely normal to feel exhausted, out of breath, isolated, or overwhelmed. Asking for help isn't always easy, but a professional service tailored to YOUR needs can make all the difference. Where does postpartum recovery come from? Historically, the term "postpartum recovery" referred to the period during which parents were recovering from the birth of their child. At that time, a doula, whose term comes from the Modern Greek meaning "woman in service to" or "servant," took charge not only of the baby's care, but also of the mother. Her role was to facilitate a smooth postpartum recovery by taking care of household chores, meals, and other children, allowing the mother to focus on breastfeeding, rest, and healing. Over the years, this practice has been lost in the West, although it remains common in some parts of the world. At DoulasLove, The postnatal doula is attentive to the realities of new parents and is fully aware of the unique challenges of this time. She respects the pace and lifestyle of each family and strives to create a bond of trust, allowing parents to fully recover, both physically and psychologically. She offers a listening ear and support on various aspects of the postnatal process. During her visits, parents can rest easy knowing that the doula will take care of the baby. If the baby is asleep, the doula can help with small daily household tasks, such as folding a load of laundry, doing the dishes, sweeping the floor, and preparing meals or snacks for the days ahead. She can also stay with the baby at home while you are away for an appointment. * A minimum of 3 hours per visit is required for travel. ** It is important to schedule time banks at least 3 days in advance, taking into account the doula's availability. *** Time banks can be divided into 3 or 4 consecutive hours.
