Birth with Confidence Online Prenatal Sessions – Prepare for a Peaceful and Enlightened Birth These three online prenatal sessions, in small groups, are designed to prepare you for each stage of your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. These classes are taught in French, English, and Spanish, with special attention to the diversity of birth experiences. Here's what you'll learn during these three sessions: The stages and numbers related to labor: - Understanding the different stages of labor (from Braxton-Hicks to the delivery of the placenta). - Understanding what effacement, dilation, and the baby's position mean. Pain management; natural and medical: - Breathing techniques, positions, and massages for a smooth and peaceful labor. - Understanding how hormones work Medical interventions: - Exploring medical protocols and intervention choices during labor. - Pharmacological options and alternatives. The role of the partner and the importance of support: - How the partner can play a vital role during labor and delivery. - Mental and emotional support techniques. Postpartum and feeding preparation (in all its forms): - Mental and physical health after birth, including returning home. - The basics of breastfeeding, skin-to-skin contact, and feeding your baby. These courses provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to experience a confident birth while being well-informed about possible medical decisions.
