Èma Doula

A little word about me…

It was through my own journey into motherhood that I found my new life mission, to become a doula. Through my pregnancies and birth stories, I have had, one could say, the chance to discover very different horizons. Throughout my motherhood, I had to go through perinatal grief, juggle a premature birth, a completely physiological birth and another that required time and kindness in order to reconcile myself with this passage. These experiences have shaped me and continue to rock me in my practice with you who will become parents in the coming months.

Throughout my parenting journey, I encountered fear, loneliness, worries, doubt... I also encountered Love with a capital L, the one that until today I could neither understand nor define because it was so vast and vague at the same time. I discovered a power that lived within me whose existence I did not suspect.

Having given birth during a pandemic also allowed me to understand the importance of the village and how important it is to surround yourself and equip yourself. We all know this African proverb that says, "It takes a village to raise a child." Frankly, it's not the baby who needs the village. It's the parent(s) who need this village to rise in their parenting.

My mission as a doula is to offer you a presence, a listening ear, availability, a "safe space" and to walk by your side when you feel the need. Providing you with tools, information and helping you connect with YOUR essence as a parent, the one that will reflect you and meet YOUR needs, YOUR values is at the heart of my mission.

Doula since 2020, mother, psychosocial worker and birth assistant in a midwifery service, my career is at the very center of humanity and human support.

Among my services you will find: birth support, postnatal respite, breastfeeding support, babywearing workshops, birth ceremonies ("blessing way"), Mexican rebozo ritual treatment and couple balloon preparation. And a new feature coming soon, ... pregnancy henna tattoo!

Looking forward to meeting you and, who knows, becoming your doula and that of your family...
