Being passionate about our work, we want to share this passion with all types of families and we believe that having access to the services of a doula brings a lot of gentleness and calm to the parent(s). Pregnancy and childbirth are unique, intimate and privileged moments.

We witness how a pregnant person, vulnerable during more intense episodes, transforms into a warrior and reveals her superpowers the moment this new life takes shape. It is a privilege for the doula to accompany during these moments of happiness and to bear witness to their kindness.
Anyone who wants a doula should take advantage of this opportunity. That's why, in every standard or related agreement, an amount is allocated for pro bono services. People who sign up for our service agreements sign up for this donation by default and can smile knowing they're making a difference for a pregnant person living in a precarious financial situation. For that person, it's a priceless gift.

What does pro bono mean?
Pro bono, whose English translation of the well-known Latin expression is
"for the public good",
refers to professional services provided free of charge or
at very low prices.

Statistics:
Most salaries in Quebec range between $41,500 and $55,500 per year. IRIS calculated subsistence incomes for three types of households: a single person, a couple with one child living in a publicly subsidized daycare (CPE), and a couple with two children living in a CPE. For Montreal: a single person: $29,577; a couple with one child in daycare (CPE): $41,692; a couple with two children in daycare (CPE): $65,033.
About four in ten Montreal residents (43%) felt a strong sense of belonging to their community. The majority (78%) of residents believed that the neighbourhood they lived in was a place where neighbours generally helped each other.
About half of residents had a large support network in case of an emergency or disaster, with more than five people they could turn to for emotional support (53%) and in case of physical injury (48%).
The prevalence of disabilities (whether physical, sensory, cognitive, or mental health-related) among Canadians is more common than we think. In fact, millions of Canadians have at least one disability. In 2017, one in five Canadians (22%) aged 15 and older—approximately 6.2 million people—had one or more disabilities. Disabilities related to pain, flexibility, mobility, and mental health were the most common types of disabilities. Among those aged 25 to 64, people with disabilities were less likely to be employed (59%) than those without disabilities (80%).
